Why does this happen to gum?

sometimes when you chew it for a while it looses its consistency and gets kinda watery.

does anyone kno why this happens?

Yeah its just because you've had it in your mouth for a while and it wore down

When you chew it the gum breaks down from the chewing,saliva and acid in your mouth.

or its bad quality gum
