Why dose CNG damage the engine?

  1. Do you even know what COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS is?  There is NO LUBRICATION PROPERTY TO IT... Gasoline and Diesel fuels have a natural lubricating property to them... CNG is clean of that... which is why it makes a better cooking fuel and a motor fuel.


  2. If you set up your engine for CNG fuel by supplementing your top end lubrication, It is a good fuel to run if you aren't concerned about performance. CNG is good for municipal fleets and the like. I don't foresee CNG tanks popping up at all filling stations across the country anytime soon.
