  1. English has become the international language of business. It's very helpful if you want to travel or do business with other countries.

Most computer languages are based on English. If you do programming or work in IT, understanding English can help.

If you want to live or work in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom, it would definitely help to know English.

  2. PRIMARY REASON WHY ENGLISH IS MORE IMPORTANT IS IT IS SPOKEN BY MAXIMUM NO.OF PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.

FOR EX: INDIA ITS NATIONAL LANGUAGE IS HINDI BUT MOST OF THE PEOPLE SPEAK ENGLISH TO COMMUNICATE WITH OTHERS.

    2ND REASON:

THE BRITISH INVADED ALL THE COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD. SO THEIR LANGUAGE OF COMMUNICATION HAS MORE IMPACT  ON THE PEOPLE THEY RULED.

3RD:SINCE IT HAD BECOME A GLOBAL LANGUAGE FOR COMMUNICATION ALL OVER THE WORLD.TO PERSIST IN THIS WORLD WE MUST KNOW THE GLOBAL LANGUAGE AS THE WORLD IS BECOMING A GLOBAL VILLAGE.

    4TH:

TO ADD PERSONALITY TO UR SPEECH AND TO UR SELF TALK IN ENGLISH.

    5TH:

AS IT IS A MIXTURE OF ALL LANGUAGES IN THE WORLD IT IS FOR EVERY ONE IN THE WORLD TO LEARN.EVEN IT SEEMS DIFFICULT TO LEARN IF EXPLAINED WITH AN EXAMPLE IN THEIR LANGUAGE IT IS TO LEARN AND REMEMBER.

    6TH:

ENGLISH IS CALLED AS THE LANGUAGE OF THE GREAT KINGS.

  3. English is the universal language of business.  In the bulk of international transactions it is the one language that is common to all parties.  Being proficient in English opens a world of opportunities to an individual that would otherwise be unavailable.

  4. English (Capital 'E' please) is very important. It is one of the planet's most widespread languages, being spoken in just about every country in the world. It is essential that English be used properly as it is a most diverse and descriptive language. Written English can transform a simple sentence into descriptive prose that illuminates the imagination. For example just think how mundane and ordinary the phrase 'The man walked along with his dog.' is but how much richer it can be made by the addition of a few descriptive adjectives and adverbs, thus 'The tall, dark man with his swathe of brown hair walked quickly and purposefully along the busy, but uncrowded thoroughfare accompanied willingly by his faithful and aged Border Collie, with a bright eye, wet nose and springing step despite his advancing years.'

The importance of understanding English cannot be over-estimated. If the reader is to benefit fully from what the author is trying to convey to ghim then it is important to have access to a good dictionary and, preferably, a Thesaurus also. It completely renders useless the comprehension and understanding of the written word if it is unknown to the reader. For example you may skip over the word 'ubiquitous' in a sentence that said 'The man who approached me with his ubiquitous dog was obviously blind.' How do we know he is blind? It's because his dog is 'ubiquitous' or 'ever-present'. He has a guide dog. It needs to be ubiquitous, or 'ever present' so that he can find his way about. If we do not know the word we miss what the author is trying to picture in our minds.

It is also essential that good grammar and punctuation are used and understood, not just to make the written word or phrase neater, but alos to convey the necessary stops and pauses in the message that has been written. Correct paragraphing is a must too, so that division of ideas and thought are clear.

All in all English, with it's derivatives in so many languages and cultures, including Latin, Greek, Germanic and Franco strains together with the native Anglo-Saxon, Welsh and Scottish words, makes up probably the most beautiful, descriptive and wonderful language ever derived. It is there to be enjoyed and used so my tip is to do just that. Take full advantage of your heritage, learn and expand and take the richness and diversity of the English language as your own.

  5. English is very important. People all over the world speak English. To make things simpler, if you work for a German company like Vodafone and want to make a partnership with a Japanese company like Sony, how would you interact? German is NOT Japanese nor is Japanese like German. The idea is to have ONE main language in the world that everybody knows besides their own language. Because how would you persuade people to buy your product with a French speaking commercial in China? That would just be a mess.

Another reason is that if you wanted to take a vacation in a different country, with a different language, and the man in  the front desk of the hotel does not understand your language. How would you tell him you want a single room for 2 nights? Overall people need English as one MAIN language to be able to interact with the world.
