How many times this guy has screwed and yet again the Lakers continues to gave him chances to improved himself. I can't see him playing the SF position next year because, He likes to stay under the basket waiting for rebounds. Sure, he can run and pass the ball like a PG. but, WILL HE ABLE TO KNOCK DOWN OPEN SHOTS WHEN KOBE SET HIM UP?

  1. which team would want to help the lakers become the champs??

lakers would only trade odom after they've experimented with the bynum/gasol/odom lineup no point in trading him before the deadline.

Another thing to note is that there really arent that many good small forwards out their for trade.  Gerald Wallace and tayshaun prince come to mind but other teams are reluctant to trade.  Either way lakers probaly won't trade him this season and will either do a sign-and-trade next season or let him walk and hope that there will be a sf in free agency.

also trevor ariza could potentially become the next sf  because he is a diamond in the rough

  2. As a Laker fan, you really dont know what you have with a rarity such as Lamar Odom. He's like a better Boris Diaw.

Yes his shooting skills are weak, but the triangle offense makes it so that Odom doesn't have to shoot three pointers, but rather drive to the rim and find Gasol/Bynum underneath.

I'd rather him play the PF, while Gasol and Radmanovic on the forward and center spots. Bynum should go from the bench, I think.

  3. who?

  4. odoms good! stop complaining.

  5. It's because all the other teams in the league are too scared the Lakers are going to put some Jedi Mind Tricks on them like they did to the Grizzlies in the Pau trade.

  6. Odom is helpful.

  7. OMG im tired of odom haters. who wouldn't want a 6'10 small forward who can get 10 rebounds a night in his sleep? image trying to match-up against there front line next year....gasol bynum and odom, nobody will be able to. He is a match-up nightmare and he though he messed up alot last year when it mattered late in the playoffs he came up big when gasol and even at times kobe weren't. No way do you give up on him. A his confidence builds he only gonna play better. I dont like the laker and im worried because i dont see anyone stopping them next year. He'll be ready when its crunch time just like he was this year

  8. his 10" c**k is keeping some1 happy

  9. are you kidding? Odom is one of the most underrated players in the NBA.  His job is not to score.  He's an incredibly consistent player averageing a double double.  He gives the lakers great depth and height and creates enormous matchup problems for other teams on both defense and offense.

He's versatile and can fill any of 3 positions, which is great insurance if Gasol or Bynum is injured.

He isn't an amazing shooter, but any important shots aren't goin to be taken by him anyway so that shouldn't matter (Kobe and Vujacic can knock down any clutch shots)

  10. all they need him to do is rebound and defend and pass.

I mean why do they need him to nail jump shots or score all the time?

    They have soo mayn scorers:

    Derek Fisher avg 12 ppg

    Kobe 28 ppg

    Pau 19 ppg

    Bynum 13 ppg

why do they need him to score?

  11. he is the 2nd best player on the team

  12. Good question!

The answer is obviously NO! or the Lakers would be the champs!

I agree with you completely. Odom should be traded for a quality player who can score on his own and is not afraid to shoot.
