  1. um...because if not then multicellular organisms wouldn't exist. If your stem cells didn't specialize into kidneys and lungs, you'd be a blastocyte forever.

Cell Specialization is the process by which cells are formed into specific cells, that will carryout specific functions.  It is important because all of our cells can't be the same and functioning the same because our body has a variety of needs.  We have many different organs that need different types of cells.  You can't have kidney cells in your heart because they can't contract.

    Basically, you will die if you do not have cell specialization.

  3. because if we didn't have cell specialization we would prolly all be the same gender and have no interesting traits about us. we would all be the same and that would be sooo boring.
