Why is fishing bad?

who says that fishing is bad? what is the cause of fishing? why is fishing bad to an enviromentolasion?

The only ones I can think of that would say fishing is bad are those nutjobs from P.E.T.A. The cause of fishing is simple...People fish because they want to.

Fishing is not bad. Over fishing of a particular kind of fish is bad because it may cause extinction.

Fishing is not bad but some fisherman cruel to the fish.  If you fish responsibly it is a great way to relax and have some fun.   You will hear some people talk about how cruel it is to the fish but it is nothing compared to how other fish treat each other.  If you think about it what was the fish you  just caught going to do to your bait?  It was going to kill it and eat it.  Fish do not have the same nerve system as humans and do not fill pain the same way we  do.

I used to like it before i thought about what it actually was. It's cruel, but humans are arrogant that way. We feel we have the right over anything helpless and smaller than us.

Fish need the water to breathe, just like humans need the air. To pull a fish out of the water, is the equivalent of holding a human's head under water until we die. THAT IS CRUEL. We do it to them because we can.

As far as the environment goes, over fishing can destroy an area and leave it void of all natural marine life. Additionally, some fish are indeed food for other animals and so, killing of one species, could possible kill off many others.

i like fishing, but i hate it when they are fishing right in the surf break when theres a jetty half a kilometre down the beach... d**n they p**s me off!
