Why is flight simulator x animated?

hi there i have had FSX for a while now and i have aleays wonderd why is it animated why dont microsoft make a photo realistic one

I don't know but a photo realistic world would look flat and boring. with it animated at least we get the feeling of a living environment. also the amount of effort it takes to create a world with animals, boats, cars and Ai traffic is huge!

so Microsoft has done a good job in my opinion. if you do like the idea of more realistic views (as i do) there are good addon's in freeware sites or to third party addons to be purchased. hope this helps!!!!!

Your Flight Simulator question belongs in the "GAMES" section.  This is the "TRANSPORTATION" category for questions about real, tangible aircraft, not pretend ones from a computer game.

In order to have a full 360 degree view of the world around you and of any object on the screen, they would need to be animated. Whether they are animated by hand or based off of pictures, they won't be able to provide a smooth, realistic view without animation.
