  1. Why should he!!! "age" ?

What do you think about those cricketers who may be young but still out of form!! If Sourav still enjoys the game & loves to play cricket, so I think its better to leave this decision on the great player's own will.

  2. Becoz I've personally told him. U know who am I?. I am his Big Brother.

  3. Age is still a number.  If Saurav is enjoying his cricket, he should continue playing.  As far as money is concerned, everybody plays for money and nobody is doing charity.

  4. he cant play for sh** i hate that guy man. he should retire

  5. i also think he should retire

  6. Ganguly should retire soon but I think that he wants to play a bit more cricket before he retires.

  7. he thinks , he has more cricket left out in himself, he was awarded as best asian ODI cricketer recently . Ganguly was thrown out of the team due to politics of Ganguly Chappel episode and when this happened, Ganguly faught his way back to the team with his grit , determination and tenacity, let me tell you its d**n tough to do it, he has done well after that, there is everything not money, there are some reasons which are more important than money, he wanted to prove a point and he did and he won the best asian cricketer award , now he has played few bad innings just because he is again under stress of a hanging sword and again all of us are asking Qs about his retirement, give him a farewell properly, let the senior cricketer decide, when he has to go, he is still good for test cricket !

don't give discredit to people forgetting everything what they have done in the past !

  8. I agree with CJ.......

that decision is entirely up to him.......He will quit when he feels that no longer enjoys the sport..........

  9. why should he ?

i think he should be given another chance.if others can get why not he.

if others don't retire why should he.

  10. Because He wants to play more

  11. If he fails in the 3rd test it is clear that he will make way for UV but  a player of his caliber should step down gracefully.

  12. He was out bcuz of injuries. He mite be selected again bcuz of his decent performance in the T20(took a hat-trick) and bowled w

  13. because he wants to play more and more

  14. Probably in these days...

  15. it is because he wants to earn more money and wants to be a member............

  16. The matter of taking retirement is  entirely Ganguly's personal decision, and  no one has the moral right to force this decision upon this cricketer, who has done such great things for India in the past. Sourav Dada is not going to quit as long as he feels that he is still as good as anybody else to play the game. And I don't understand what problem does some people seem to have with him, if he himself feels that he still has something left in him to offer Indian cricket. If he is not playing well, the selectors can drop Ganguly, but they can't ever take cricket out of him. Ganguly is still there because of his passion for crciket, and thirst for runs. He will retire, when he feels that the will to carry on is no longer there within him.

You suggested that Ganguly is not retiring for the sake of earning more money. OMG, isn't money the reason for which all these cricketers are playing in the first place? I don't know about you, but atleast I don't know any cricketer who does a "free service" for his team! Everyone is looking to earn money-money is synonymous with modern cricket. What's the justification of blaming Ganguly?

Money is important, but there is something greater than it, which is honour, and that's why Dada is still playing.

  17. Cricket is more than a game for these players. It's one of the hardest things to do. Retiring from one of the things you love isn't something thats in your mind. Cricket is who they are, they can't just let it go like that.

Ganguly just like any other player, will retire when they feel its right. Ganguly obviously still wants to be out there playing for his country.

  18. I don't think he cares for more money at this stage but he wants to prove a point that he can't be pushed around. Guru Greg has done so much damage to this dashing cricketer's career that it seems that Ganguli's enemies will have the last laugh. But one thing is for sure that when Ganguli retires he will have enough material to write an epic on Indian cricket. He can make millions by signing a book contract.

When I read report about Ganguli and his retirement, a seen from Mahabharata comes before my eyes- when Abhimanyu was trapped and mercilessly killed by the kauravas.
