Why is it called baby names?

Yes you are naming a baby but still they won't be babies forever. Why don't they just say names?

Because when you are naming its a baby you are naming

For me there isn't a significant difference  between pet babies and human babies.I LOVE PETS MORE.

I wonder the same thing too. I am a name addict but I always feel weird to say it because it so much associated with babies and I am no where near having babies.

idk, I guess it's because even though people aren't babies forever they are babies when they are being named.

It's most likely because when you are naming, you are naming a baby. Yes, they'll grow up to be an adult but don't you think Baby Names sounds better then People Names...

cos people names sounds weird?  I guess to distinguish between pet names, etc.
