Why is kannada so ill-respected?

everyone loves it when ppl speak in hindi, tamil etc. but kannadigas are frowned upon. look at my answer for ex. one of the only few answers which got a minus sign.

nanage thumbaa ahambhaava idhe means it is not proud, ahambhaava means ahankaara which is not good. There u should have used "abhimaana idhe". and i think that's why u got minus sign. Some times u might have got minus sign even if u used the right word, bcoz only kannada knowing people may know wat u have answered nobody else. Probably the person who asked the question is need not to be a kannadiga and of course, the persons who are reading the answers might not be kannada knowing, that's why i think u got the thumbs down. Okay, kannada upayogisodu sari, aadre elli uchitha alli maathra upayogisi. kannada goththillada janara hathra kannada mathnadi enu prayojana? by the way, naanu kannadiga alla, but nanage kannada chennaagi goththu. Dont think kannada is so ill respected.  Hope u got the answer
