Why is my DVD not loading?

I have a dvd/vhs combo. When i was playing a disc it suddenly stopped playing and said Loading error. The machine has not been knocked about.I`ve tried a cleaning disc to no avail. Other disc`s, new or old wont play. VHS works fine. Is it beyond help. A new one of the same brand/quallity is about £100. Its a Daewoo SD:8100P(ver 2) if thats any help.

First try to clean the lens.Use a cleaning kit.If this doesn't help then go to a service center!
