Question:

Why is my car wobblying?

I was driving my car and all of a sudden it just started to wobble. I thought a tire was loose but the wobbling would go away when I held in the clutch. I believe my o2 censor is out as it shows the "check engine" sign but my friend said I should change my transmission fluid. Since a depressed clutch solves the wobble issue, is this problem a fluid issue, or are my tires just loose? Thanks

  1. if your car is rear wheel drive it could be the carrier bearing on the drive shaft from the gearbox to the rear axle, have a qualified mechanic check it over as any knobhead can give advice,at the end of the day its not just your safety its everyone elses safety too

  2. Sounds like your driveshaft might be out of balance, since it stops when you push in the clutch. Have that checked first.

  3. put in gear let roll if you feel a shake or wiggle its a tire or wheel... at speed it will be tire balance ... but since you said it stops when you press the clutch either bad drive shaft or clutch is gone

  4. tires are loose or you have a bad tire or more than one
