Why is my cat actin up?

Question

Usually he's a real good boy. He always wants pets and scratches . But lately, he's been mean. He'll come up to me like always wanting to be petted, but he'll try to bite me. And when i walk by him, he swats at me. lol

Did you have him fixed? Have you changed your clothing, deodorant or otherwise altered your appearance? It sounds like he is getting territorial with you. Its most likely an environment change problem. Even doing something like move the furniture can upset cats.

Nice cat :D erm my cat can be like that sometimes maybe they just want to be left alone for a bit or maybe hes hurt or something and is tryin to attract your attention.

He has that slight evil look in his eyes that mine has - but he is a beautiful boy!  Mine goes through phases of being very sweet and loving and other times where she is a right little madam.  Am on an in between phase at the moment.  She hasn't bitten me for a few days!

Maybe he's getting paybacks because he can't go outside anymore and he has pent up anger that he normally takes out on small mammals (ie, mice, moles, etc)... I'm sure eventually he'll turn back to his lovable self =) Perhaps get him some catnip and some new toys to turn that kitty frown upside down!

you have to pay more notice of your kitty. don't just pet it and all. call it's name when you enter the door or room it is in. also play with it very often. this is how your cat will be attached to you. now, I'm not saying don't pet it. try to at times. it loves to be pet. when it is attached, always pet it- if you know what i mean...
