Why is my eye twitching?

Every, let's say half-hour my eye twitches a few times and stops. One time I looked in the mirror while it was happening and my bottom eyelid on my left eye from moving up and down (twitching).

  1. Its a muscle spasm in your eyelids. Most people believe it is related to emotional stress or physical eye strain. Here's a website with more info, hope it helps:

  2. Everyone who has posted before me is correct. You could be tired, stressed, emotional, etc. Another factor could be a lack of Potassium in your diet. So get some rest, and eat a banana!

  3. idk just try to get lots of sleep and go to bed when u feel tired dont stay up because u want to watch tv or sumthin unless its important.. and i heard that having certain times to go to bed and wake up have an effect on twitching....so try to make a schedule on when to go to sleep

  4. I have had that happen, usually when I'm over tired. Stress, little sleep.. or poor quality sleep are all related to depression. Try and find something that makes you relax, close your eyes during your breaks .. another thing that helped my eye twitches were cool tea bags, a nice cold cloth or cucumbers over my eyes...
