Why is my iPod frozen?

Please help me!!!

My iPod is frozen; I haven't dropped it in any way and I take good care of it.

What are some reasons why it must be frozen?

I'm really worried about it.

press and hold the center button and the menu button. it will reset the ipod. it will not erase anything but restart it.

all ipods freeze once in a while.

simply press the middle button and the playback but at the same time and hold.

it should reset it.

Relax, it happens to mine all the time. Usually happens if you like push a bunch of buttons too fast or something.

But hey, there's a way to unfreeze it! :]

Just toggle the hold switch (turn it on, then back off again)

then press and hold the menu + center buttons at the same time for like 10 seconds or until the Apple logo comes up.

I pods can freeze up for a number of reasons such as being unplugged while they were syncing, or being dropped, I think sometimes just clicking some buttons too quickly can set them off. Apple support shows you how to reset them, though!

If you have any of these I-Pods

    * iPod nano (3rd generation)

    * iPod classic

    * iPod (5th generation)

    * iPod nano (2nd generation)

    * iPod nano

    * iPod with color display (iPod photo)

    * iPod (Click Wheel)

    * iPod mini

    * iPod mini (2nd generation)

This is how you turn them on:

   1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)

   2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

I don't have any way of knowing why it is frozen, but I assume you really want to know how to FIX it ... ?

Click on the type of iPod you have. Then under "troubleshooting" go to the directions on "How to reset my iPod"

Ours freeze occasionally and it is no big deal. If you had included the type of iPod you have, in your question, I would have posted the instructions for you, but you should be able to find them with no problem.

I am not quite sure but here is a way to get it unfrozen and it only takes 6 seconds.

Press and hold the middle circle button and the menu button for about 6 second or until the Apple logo appears, and that will reset your iPod.

dont be worried why it happend get it fixed if its like frozen frozen where the screen will not change NO MATTER WHAT bring it down to apple store or someelecronic store like radio shak

oo hey my friend had the same problem . this is what you do. charge ur ipod over night and let it rest and dont mess with it . then turn it on .worked for him :) hope i helped

oh that happened to me u just have to press and hold the middle circle button and the menu button for about 6 second or until the Apple logo appears,that will reset your iPod good luck
