    The temperature of the Earth is not so cold as to make the gasses that compose our atmosphere liquid or solid, nor is the temperature of the Earth great enough to allow the Brownian movement of gaseous molecules the ability overcome the attraction of the Earth's gravity preventing rapid escape of the air into outer space.
