Why is this section here?

Question

The US government isn't a monarchy. Why is there a royalty section here? Is this on all Yahoo! Answer sites, no matter what the gov't in that country is?

The USA is not the only people on answers.  Many countries have royalty.  Such as the UK.

this is the World wide web and people are here from Africa to Germany some just to learn english.

This is the world wide web and some places are ruled by dictators and monarchy.  They like to come to the English section because there is so many more people on it.

The World Wide Web was the brainchild of an Englishman and the English have Royalty. The implementation of the WWW was a European joint effort and a number of European countries have Royalty. Given those facts - plus it appears many Americans have a morbid fascination with the British Royalty - this section being here seems quite logical.
