  1. If the world continues to urbanise;

    - more pollution, as built-up areas increase

    - more over-crowding in cities, so more diseases and poorer health for the masses

    - fewer jobs for people; affects the world's economy

    - more resources needed. A lot of food, oil, clothes and gems are made/manufactured in rural areas, so that could result in food shortages

    - more crime, associated with urbanisation

    - loss of community spirit & increased tensions

    - lower standard of living, especially when people want to move out of cities
