    This is the transmission frequency allocated to it (96.9 MegaHertz). The FM stands for frequency modulation, where the information is imposed on the carrier wave by varying the frequency.

    96.9 MHz is also the frequency allocated to FM Zero (Argentina), Radio Espana, WRRB (New York), WTKK (Boston) and CKLG (Vancouver) amoungst many many others!
