Why isnt my camera working?

my camera isn't working... when i TRY to charge it up the green light won't come on...and when i turn it on the camera the part that comes out to take the picture stay that way...i need help...do you think that a radio shack or someone can fix my poor little camera

That happened to mine too, my grandpa took out my memory card and looked at my pics, and the last picture was a white screen, so he figured something happened internally... I had a warranty so the people fixed it for me... I would suggest the same, or taking it to people who work with cameras like you said

Most P&S cameras cannot be charged with the battery in the camera

There are a few exceptions to this, but in general, you will need to use the charger that came with your camera, take the battery out and insert it into the charger ... most charges take from two to three hours to fully charge
