I have an Olympus FE-230 and a 1GB memory card. When I started taking pictures I would upload them to iphoto and then i would delete them from my camera but then I would end up with less memory. Now I can only take 12 pictures. What's up with that? How do I get all my memory back?

  1. 1GB cards can't hold that much.  How many were you able to take before?

  2. to get all your memory back i would do a whole reset but first make sure the pictures you have r saved or they won't be there after, and if you dont know how to do it, id take it to soeone who can.

but first things first maybe its dust or you got something in the

mem. card, or maybe someone touched it,or you did.

    that's all.

  3. I would call the place u got ur camera ! good luck!♥

  4. I also have an Olympus camera but with a lower memory card. I guess what happened with your is you forgot to format your memory card using your camera. Before using a newly purchased memory card, be sure that it is compatible with your digital camera. just refer to your camera's manual & you will see there what are the memory cards that are compatible with yours. After having a new one, insert it to your camera & do some formatting. There's always a software stored in your camera that does formatting. But of course, once you reformat it, all the saved data will be lost so be careful.

You can also have the reformatting from the store where you bought your memory card. They will help you do that in case you're not that familiar with such stuff. I hope I helped you in a way!  gud luck!

  5. OK to delete, press windows logo+e then go the memory card's directory.

Then, hold shift and delete EVERY thing you see, including all the folders.

If that doesn't work, go back to My Computers, right click the memory card's folder and format it. That should work.

  6. Call the company that sold you the camera and talk to costumer service.

  7. it went corrupt, all your memory is gon forever.

  8. I would just try going to the memory options and make sure that you are storing to the memory  card and not the camera.  I have had that happen to me..I also had the memory card in my MQ go bad for no reason at all. Well hope that helps,

  9. If you go to 'properties' under the memory card, and click 'format' it should completely erase all information on the card. You should always format, rather than delete.

  10. Cause olympus stinks.. :/

  11. put your card into the computer and do a format, right click on it via my computer and click on format

  12. Try formatting the card in the camera, after you have downloaded all your images, as it will delete everything on the card.

And even in the future always format the card in the camera and not in a computer.
