Very often, it will take far, far, far more than 1000 characters to pose any sort of question that will require background for people to answer. If People aren't willing to read over 1000 characters, then I don't need them to answer my question. It’s pretty simple. Twice now I have tried to ask questions on here, only to find the most I could limit my question down to, while still keeping enough information to have a real answer, was about 3300-3600 characters, and so I was not able to ask the question. They only let you add details so many times.

So what if a few people aren't willing to read a question that’s a little bit longer? If they aren’t wiling to read a longer question, then there answers wouldn't be worthwhile anyway. Yahoo answers is really just limiting the quality of questions on here by doing that. Well, that’s just my 2 cents. sadly this is already 910 characters.
