Why my computer is very slow?

Hi all.

Yesterday i have got a new 1G Ram.But my computer runs very slow.

I have got a pentium 4 computer with Intel processor and 1G Ram (And i bought a new one so they r 2) and a 6200 ge force Turbo cash.And i realized that my processor fan makes a low noise and my cpu usage is at 30% when i am not opening anything. So please help me.

3 things. ur computer is bad and ggot ripped off. or ur downloading too much software cuz evn though u have room when u download too much software it slows down. or u have a virus oor malware. get a anti virus software and see if that helps

run adaware.  Google it.      www.Google.com > Lavasoft Adaware

its a free software. that works great. run a full system scan.

sounds like you have some background processes that shouldnt be running. you can also stop certain things from running when you turn on your computer.  Proceed at your own risk:

     1. Click Start (bottom left corner)

     2. Click Run

     3. Type: "msconfig"

     4. Click the "Startup" tab, and scroll down the list.

    Disable the processes that you do not wish to start when your turn on your computer, if you are not sure what a file is - dont disable it. it could b e a potential process that reguites to run your computer.
