Why people like golf so much?

I feel there is always something new to learn with this sport. Also there is a great satisfaction of hitting that perfect shot after all the practice and hard work. It is a game of skill but some good luck doesn't hurt. Also unlike any other sport every course you play is different with new challenges and beauty. What a great game. Also you can play it your whole life and it is a game you can play by yourself as with as with others. I could go on and on...

I think people (myself included) enjoy golf so much for many reasons. One reason is it is a very challenging game and one that is incredibly difficult to master. From the outside, golf looks very easy, swing a club and hit a ball that isn't even moving. The challenge lies in hitting the ball with some degree of consistency. Many people enjoy being challenged and also like the competition that golf presents. A lot of ladies and men who enjoy beautiful, warm, sunny days choose to spend them on a golf course where they can have a good walk (or ride) and spend some quality time competing with their friends and family. It really is a lot of fun to see your scores improve over time. It's almost "rewarding".
