  1. Carlie, for a couple of reasons. First of all we are saving money. second, the enviroment isnt trash friendly. Landfills eventually fill up.

  2. to avoid pollution and save resources....recycling enables us to use same items, recyling several times

  3. because its important to keep the environment  clean and the commuunitity is well and if we do like for eg can bottles etc it wont be such a messy plece

  4. RECYCLING IS A CON AND POLITICAL HYPE

Most glass recycled is  green wine bottles ... no one in the UK makes green galss

The biggest energy consumption in making glass is the heat to melt the sand

IT TAKES THE SAME TO REMELT GLASS!

Plastics: ......... most plastics can not be recycled unless they totally uncontaminated by other types of plastic

Recycled plastic is inferior and structurally  un reliable so can not be used in any items except packaging

Iron and steel are NOW viable but only because India and China buy it to make inferior product ..... see chrash test on Chinas Brilliance Car

If recycling was important and not just  either a stealth  taxing ( as per land fill tax is or a sop to the self promoting "political green" Then the government would INVEST and ENCOURAGE  people to develop recycling and the technology that goes with it.

As it is the DISCOURAGE real recycling such as scrap yars access , second hand parts ,

CAR BOOT SALES IS REAL RECYCLING

every thing else is the emperors new clothes

  5. it lessens the waste, thus avoiding flood problems. pollution and other disease-causing wastes would also be decreased.

  6. so that you can exercise!

  7. because u cn use stuff over and over instead of producing things...that pile up in dumpsters..remember the saying "reduce, reuse and recycle" so this goes on and less garbage=good planet=clean and green city O.O

  8. There is an informative web site "Story of stuff" that gives many reasons why it is extremely important.

    The Story of Stuff

Online movie reveals what happens when we consume too much stuff.

    www.storyofstuff.com

  9. it will allow proper utilization of waste.

  10. Because everything that does not get recycled and used again in a new product just gets thrown away and sits in a landfill not doing anything except building the landfill bigger.  By recycling you don't need to find or create new materials to manufacture new products, you can use recycled paper, plastic bottles, cans.....nearly everythng can be recycled if everyone tries.  Did you know that Polar Fleece clothing and blankets are made out of recycled plastic bottles?  You use recycled tires in new roads and rubberized athletic tracks found at many high schools and colleges.  People need to stop wasting so much and just recycle.  It is just as easy to recycle than it is to throw something out.  We have 3 huge recycling containers for trash day and only one for trash since almost everything can be recycled.  Junk mail, regular mail, newspapers, magazines, our twin babies formula cans, water bottles, soda cans, cardboard boxes, cereal boxes, soup cans.......basically any can if you wash it out, all paper if it doesn't have tons of food on it, like pizza boxes, any can, and plastic bottle or container. Try it and help the environment.  You can even save up your soda cans if you want and get money back for them from a recycling company in town.  Just do it.  Recycling even cuts down on air pollution because factories don't need to manufacture as much stuff.

  11. Well for starters, you have less rubbish lying around... metals, plastics, concrete slabs from broken down buildings, etc

  12. keeps us from over consuming resources. A plague of locusts can consume every living vegetation on its path from start to finish...what's left behind? Nothing, atleast until it grows back in which case most will starve, die off etc. We do the same thing, we deplete every resource we have and dont do anything about it until it hits us in the face. By recycling, you save on those resources which could affect us severely once they are gone.
