Why should I get braces?

I am getting braces and I'm scared. What colors should I get? Do they hurt when you get them?

I've just had my braces on last week. It will only hurt a few hours after getting your braces and it will be sore for a week I couldn't eat much for about a week or so but it's much better. Eat soft food. Silver is a good colour if you don't want it to be obvious colour but like blue.

if your teeth are crooked. putting braces on doesn't hurt. you will start to feel soreness mostly the next day. once you feel sore it will be hard for you to eat. it will hurt when you bite down on your teeth. the soreness varies. don't eat anything hard or sticky. braces feel uncomfortable for a while but then you'll get use to it. don't worry about it. nothing scary. i was sore for about the first 2 weeks. i ate nothin but porridge. i've had my braces for over 2 months now, i've got use to it. the most annoying thing is when food get stuck in my braces...

go for bright colored braces. it looks better. first i had red, looks good, green looks good, now i have purple doesn't look good.

You should get them cuz Im getting them too! I am really dreading getting them not because of the pain (which everyone says really isn't bad) its more how I'll look in them. So I'm opting for the clear brackets with silver bands. My sister and friend both had braces and said not to get clear bands because if you eat spaghetti they'll look red. Or whatever you ate. As far as the pain they get really sensiteve for a few hours after you get them on. The pain comes when they "tighten" them. I think every month this happens. But it lasts usually a day maybe 2. You'll be fine. Get them while your young. My teeth really aren't bad, I could have gone with Invisilgn and would only have had them for 7-9 months but it wouldnt fix my small overbite and I would need a bridge. Anyways, Good Luck!
