Why the name change?

Why did the Tampa Bay Devil Rays change there name to just the Rays? And what are they Rays of-sunshine? Radioactivity? Or are the still like sting rays?

  1. They represent Sting Rays....but by now I would of thought everyone caught on that some stupid Church goers won with "GOD" on thier side that Devil was evil and had to be removed....F*CK RELIGION


  2. I heard it was because they wanted to take the word Devil out.  Don't know why, the word devil doesn't affect Duke Univ.

    If it was superstitious ... I guess it worked
