Why wont my zune start up?!?

last week my zune was completely drained then i put it to charge and it wouldnt work... i push the play button and all it says it the dead battery symbol then that dissapears then when i plug it in the same thing happens except instead of a dead battery logo showing then dissapearing the charging sign comes up and goes away. (anyone ever had this happen to them B4?) if so help me please :)

maybe reset or something if possible, sniff it, maybe it has burned a little bit... thats would be bad offcourse
