Wich fish is killing the rest?

Question

in my 46 gallon bowfront tank i've got 4 tiger barbs, 3 red minor tetras, 4 cherry barbs, a striped peacock eel, a leporinus fasciatus, a blue ram, and a pleco, and a platy. last week i had a tiger barb just disappear and just recently i had a platy go "missing". i did see what was left or a carcass on the bottom of the tank today. and a couple of my tiger barbs have nipped fins as well as a couple cherry barbs. im guessing it could be my leporinus fasciatus but i've never cought him picking on any of my other fish. any ideas?

i think u had to many fish in ur tank for 1 but it could be the eel but im not sure u could watch but if u dont have time what u could do is see witch ones have nibbls on the ends of thre tails and wich ones dont!:}

No 1 suspect - The leporinus.

They are large, fast and semi agressive. Well I guess you would call them agressive if your have smaller fish. Best kept with other large semi agressive fish.

The pleco will be an accomplice, but only in the disposal of the body. They generally wont attack live fish.

Trade him for some more tiger barbs, they are the next most nippy fish, but are generally OK in a large group.

well nipped fins could be the barbs picking on each other

but the missing fish I would guess the eel is well fed

peacock eels will eat tank mates

It`s the leporinus. These are a pretty aggressive fish.I would remove it before he tries to eat everyone in your tank. He might do better with gouramis, rainbowfish , and loaches.
