Wifi problem?

my laptop sometimes says 'local and internet' and it works fine... then for no reason that i'm aware of, it changes to 'local only'... and doesn't connect to anything...

I 'm new to wireless... what do these mean, why does it do this? and how can I keep it on Local and Internet?

if u have dsl it should say local n internet but if you're somewhere else i can be different!!

Simple solution is to reconnect because you might be out of range.  Anyways if you have local connection you should have internet connection as well although it might not say it in the wireless connection setting.
