Wildlife/Forestry Conservation from Penn Foster is it valid in the field? Basically I like the length of the program. also I would like other suggestions for similar degrees or certifications from credible schools. I would like it if the program was less than 2 years.

Thanks

  1. This is an online education course.  There is no way you can get field experience.  There are no labs.  While it is better than no education.  It would be up to those that are hiring.  There are generally more applicants with better qualifications that an online course.  You want to quarantine getting a job you better go to an accredited college program.

  2. 100 mile an hour winds blows down million trees on west coast. Just leave these tree lay. Just more American waste. is the kind of school you want

  3. It depends where you want to work. As a forester, some states will require no degree, and no experience (although the liklyhood anyone would hire you would be slim to none). So if you plan on working in one of those states, a two year degree from any forestry program would do. Other states require as much as either A.) a 2 year degree + 4 years experience as a non-professional forestry tech, OR B) a 4 year degree and 2 years experience as forestry tech, OR C) 6 years experience as a forestry tech. Other states simply require you to take a test (with a fee) and you can get your forestry licence.

I don't know as much about wildlife. But I think the key is to take into account where your going to live or where your going to work and go from there.
