Wildlife photographer vs. Veterinarian?

What are the good things and the bad things about both careers?

  1. I would imagine finding a job as a wildlife photographer (or any other artistic profession) may be a little harder than finding a job as a veterinarian. Of course this also depends on your skill, how well you present yourself and your portfolio. Either way, you'll need a degree to advance in either career. Some people are good at science and will understand medicine easier. Also, you should consider that vets sometimes have to make difficult decisions. It can be stressful to deal with illness and death. On the other hand, some people are naturals with the camera. I guess it depends on your preference. A career is something you should enjoy!


  2. Wildlife photography would be really fun because you can go around the world and see (and take pictures of, obviosly) exotic animals, but it could also be dangerous since you are dealing with dangerous animals. Vet would be cool because youre helping hurt animals, but youd have to go to college for a long time and it would suck to see an animal die. Id choose wildlife photography, you could be famous or something:)
