Will God be mad at me???

Question

If I don't commit to a religion, or pray, or center my life around making him happy not sinning? I just don't feel the need to do any of those. Would that upset God?

Nah. Most religions are about love but with obvious flaws. Keep in mind too that there were religions before Christianity. If they all lead to the same path why commit to one? Commit to love.

How would you even know if he's mad? A lightning strike followed by thunder? Seriously, I think you should just follow whatever belief you have and stop worrying about angering some deity or something.

Mad? Sad for you is probably more like it. It is more like a father whose heart is sorrowed seeing his grown-up children acting in ways that make him sorry for them. At that stage, the father cannot anymore force the grown-up son or daughter to do anything. God cannot force us to act contrary to what we prefer to do: we are free to decide the course of our life.

Is it possible that you do not feel like it because you have yet to explore the many good reasons why you ought to love him? In a real sense, praying to God or making him the center of your life, after all, is based on faith and even a little knowledge of who he is or what he is.

Since it appears that you believe God exists, I suppose your next step would be to consider the reasons for loving him. Without love, really, there is little point in praying, centering our lives around him.

He created you and me, he maintains us in existence, he redeemed us, he sanctifies us. St. Teresa of Avila once wrote that he who has God lacks nothing: a soul in love with God will discover boundless happiness. Solo Dios basta: God alone suffices.



If you want to be happy, why not try discovering God? Go up one level higher.

You will sin. We all need Jesus for our salvation. It is also a pleasure to have a personal relationship with Him

No, He prefers that you return to His loving and caring arms. God's love for you will always be there and will never leave you. But the big and real question is that do have you the love and devotion for God inside your mind, your heart and your life.

Because if you don't have it, then your intense blazing flame of desire for happiness and satisfaction will continue to grow and your Grand Canyon wide and deep emptiness within will continue to expand. To fix such problem, you will try to resort to either s*x, drugs, liquor, food or money which will neither be efficient nor effective solution.

Only love for God can extinguished the flame and filled the emptiness until it is overflowing with the divine and heavenly sweetness which everyone is searching and craving for and which you want to share and to spread this wonderful divine feeling and experience of love for God to others.

So, go out and seek a pious and devoted servant of God who will teach and guide you the correct path to love for God.

you don't make Him happy by not sinning, that would be an offering on your part, and what can a man appease God with? it pleases the Lord to believe on His Son whom He sent for your sake.

that which you do does not rouse God's anger, the sin that does you in is what angers Him, and if we take part in the fornication He is judging, it is no different from you standing between a bullet and a bad guy.

no, God will not get upset for the way you feel, He does not mistake the moment for the man. you don't have to commit to a religion, you just have to trust in Him. He is a relationship, you knew Him not, but you shall forever if you trust in Him. believe is what the Bible says, by-live that Jesus is the Lord and has washed your guilt in His blood, that you may be justified no matter what before the God who saught to save you from the flames. you trust in Him, you receive the free gift of grace... it can't be merrited, it can't be earned, it is mercy... mercy for you and i despite the direction we chose.

nice to talk to God, but you can be a helpful

person, donate time or food or money,

help the needy, there are people that do these things,

you dont have to be a holier than thou person

for the Lord to love you!!!
