  1. not houston definitly the celtics again

  2. Lakers, Heat, Pistons,Spurs, or Celtics.

Houston has no chance of winning the championship. If T- Mac can't do that much with Yao, Artest won't make a huge difference.

  3. not a chance i think cuz the west is too deep in talent i think the celtics are kind of aging also the pistons aging and spurs so actually maybe they have a 35 percent chance of winning cuz they do have a good defense in ron artest a scorer in yao and tracy and a passion in tracy so maybe actually ha my mind changed after this question

  4. No way Houston wins it this year. Artest is a big step forward for Houston and i think it makes them one of the top 5 teams in the West, but other teams have gotten better too, and some teams are just as good as last year. This year is the Lakers year with Bynum coming back. The Hornets got better by adding Posey, and if CP3 keeps progressing at the rate he has been, they could maybe challenge the Lakers for the top spot in the West. The Spurs are, the Spurs. I have no idea what to expect from the Suns this year with a new head coach but they have Nash, Amare, and Shaq and i dont see how you can mess that up. Still, I dont see anyone better than the Lakers next year.

  5. I like their chances. But, this time, my bet is on Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers!

  6. No theyll just make the Playoffs

  7. i presume you are a Houston fan...Houston will have a chance of winning if Tracy McSpasms does not have back spasms and if Yao is in good health

  8. Houston, I think, Will Be A CHAMPIONSHIP caliber team!!!!! but i think winning this year's championship will be up for grabs. The Lakers are the favorites. My Prediction for contenders are as follows. Lakers #1, Houston #2, Hornets #3, The rest i don't know. The Spurs are still a very good team but they are Larry King Old. The Suns Might(If they do not trade Shaq) not be in the playoffs at all.

p.s. FYI Tmac did not anymore miss any games due to his back spasms. He missed a couple of games (10 I think) Due to his Knee and shoulder problems, which were minor.

  9. no tmac is the most overated player in the last 20 years

  10. If choosing next season's champion was like Russian Roulette, then I'd probably place all my money Celtics. BUT...if I were not to choose them, then Houston would be my second choice.

The reason is simple - while other teams have gotten better, some teams have also gotten worse. But no team has added talent like the Rockets have. People talk about Bynum coming back but in reality, Bynum is pretty overrated. His abilities are good at best. But face it, he's no Kevin Durant. He's not going to make a big difference. Hornets have the same story. Sure they added Posey, but Posey is no Ray Allen in terms of shooting.

Now the Rockets...adding Ron Artest may have been the best move any team could have possibly made, talent-wise. For a talented team like the Rockets, all they needed was an extra defensive agent and a consistent offensive scorer. Artest adds to all deminsions of the Rockets' game. Short of signing Tim Duncan, this was the best move the Rockets could hope for. They don't need a superstar. They just need a star. They don't need a Kobe that will demand the ball, they need a guy that can chip in.

For the West, my money is on Houston. But Celtics have 3 superstars that are cohesive and have won a champtionship together. That will give them an edge over any team in the league.

  11. I'd say the favourite would be the Celtics..

They got the players, experience and they know how to win.. they also have an easier draw to the finals being in the East..

Houston won't win the NBA championship.. and its hard to say how they will do without seeing them play yet with Artest in the lineup..

but based on the calibre of their talents alone, i think they will at least advance past the 1st round..

Tmac deserves it the most.. i sure hope they front up in the business end of the season..

  12. They got to get out of the 1st rd first. They better trade Mcgreedy if you want that wish to come true.

  13. Well, Houston now has three star players, Artest, McGrady, and Yao. So I would say they would get pretty far but they have other teams to compete with like the Celtics, Lakers, Suns, Heat, Spurs, and Hornets. They'd have to be really lucky.
