....I use an internal PC blu ray player, thats having the video feed sent out via an ATI RADEON HD4870 through the HDMI to a full HD set, or will some quality be lost along the way compared to straight from a normal blu ray player-to-TV?

  1. If both are attached via HDMI, then no, there will be no signal loss--assuming the length of your cable is reasonable.  There are many HTPC enthusiasts who are doing just that.

  2. it depends on how good your connecting lead is, and the hd out settings on your blu-ray..

Buy the best lead you can it wont matter about the distance between if you get Quality leads.

  3. This is easy to answer. Here is an example. If you take a 100ft. extension cord and plug it in, you will loose a small amount of power. If you use a 10ft. cord, no problem. All power is retained. The longer cord becomes hot or a little warmer depending on how much energy you use. The higher the amps, the hotter it becomes. Basicly the shortest distance of travel for the signal the better the resolution can be.
