  1. Manny is goin nowhere. Don't believe ESPN and all these networks. His production is always up and thats what matters. I know he had a fight with Youkilis, but if thats the worst antic management has to put up with he will be fine. He has no off the field legal issues, and has come through countless times when it matters. They need him. And he will be there

  2. It said on yahoo that he thinks it's unlikely he will be traded even know he wants to be traded because their fighting for first and they need a great hitter like him.

  3. I really don't care.

Love his bat, hate the c**p he makes us put up with.

I'd be happy giving him up for a reliever or another great batter. Too bad the Yankees got Xavier Nady the other day, he would be great in place of Manny.

I don't think the trade will be made bu July 31, but we'll let him go at the end of the year.

  4. No way. He's too much of a liability and the Sox ownership knows that he's a huge part of the lineup.

  5. I haven't heard anything yet. I hope he doesn't get traded. Sox really need him.

  6. No... and here is why... Manny can veto any trade... thats for one... for 2, Manny has 2 more years on his contract that pays him 20 million a year... I cant see any team in baseball, even the Yankees going after that..

  7. nah he deffinately will not be traded he is good 4 the sox even tho i am a yankees fan lol

  8. Keep in mind that this happens practically every year. The Sox and Manny have had an interesting relationship which has included attitude problems, waivers, and more attitude problems.

I would love it if he were traded, but it won't happen for a few reasons:

-Manny is owed a lot of money. The Red Sox would be willing to eat most of his contract, but teams will cringe anyway.

-The Red Sox still want to contend. They would never get anyone of the same offensive worth in a trade.

-Manny would have to approve the trade, and he said he would, but of course he'll only approve a contending team. That means he'd have to go to the NL. Then the Red Sox have to go through the process of finding the equivalent of Manny in offense and find someone willing to pay Manny's contract. It's a huge mess, really.

I wish it would happen. As a Yankees fan, there are few things I would find sweeter. Unfortunately, Theo knows what he's doing.

  9. No, despite the fact that the Red Sox are willing to pay for most of his salary, it would be too big a whole to fill in their line up. Plus, they want a top-of-the-line prospect in return for him.

The only possible destination for him would be Philadelphia for Pat Burrell and Carlos Carrasco, but the Phills may not want to do that seeing that Manny has never played in the NL.

  10. Espn rumored that a likely fit for Manny would be the Phillies, because they want Pat Burrel (I think I spelled that wrong), but I do not think it will happen. I'm not sure if I want it to either, because Pat, unlike Manny, is a class act. However Utley, Howard, then Manny would make the Phillies offense nearly unstoppable. I just think it may ruin the team's chemistry.

  11. oh dear god i hope so.

  12. I hope not and I hope he wont be traded

  13. i could give a c**p
