Will a sidekickIII work in jamaica?

i want to know if it would have service to do anything , like texting , fone calls , and internet. i just want to know if the sidekick would have any type of service , and its a prepaid plan .

Digicel Jamaica... If you can get it unlocked you can buy a SIM card and it will work perfectly fine. INternet you will have to change the settings for but it is easy to do and the instructions are on Digicel's website. I set up my t-mobile MDA on Digicel and it's all good.

Roaming is available in Jamaica too. Just call T-Mobile and let them know.

yes the services are here you have a few choices roaming or with an unlocked phone you can buy a chip from digicel or cable and wirless the two major phone companies in jamaica (digicel chip is sold for $500)

You should go onto your carriers website (Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.) and check their coverage plan. If Jamaica doesn't show on the map, then you should call them just to make sure. Ask them if you will need a phone card or not and if you will get charged a lot of money for texting/calling people. When I went to Ireland in January, I was texting my friends back home and when the bill came, it was a few hundred dollars over the average bill. Please make sure of everything before you go because you don't want a large bill. Have fun in Jamacia!

It will work but ur carrier might be Bmobile or Digcel. Call t-mobile before hand and let them know you are traveling. They have special plans when you travel outside the usa.

I see you have a prepaid plan(sry) you maight be able to purchase a sim card once you get to Jamaica and try that.
