Will glycogen eventually turn into fat?

  1. No.  It is stored in the muscles and liver to act as a quick energy food needed by animals.  The glucose is sent to the liver from the small intestine where it is changed into glycogen (if needed) and stored for future use.  The rest of it is sent to the body.  The fat we eat enters the lymphatic system after processing and sent to the cells for use or storage.
