Will irs send me overage?

I completed a scedule A to report some undereported income. The amount was $2000.00 over the required $7500. Will they send me the difference.

Schedule A is for deductions and that would have nothing to do with "under" reported "income" (ie, you got more money than was reported to IRS).  Tax would be due for under reported income.

So your question does not make any sense.  Did you just file late taxes now, or was it a 1040X amended return to correct something you overlooked?

I'm not sure what your question is. If you're asking if the IRS will send back any funds you overpaid, the answer is yes.

I don't think they are obligated to send you a check for the difference. You could call their office and ask them.
