  1. what is magnetraction?

  2. Magnetraction is really good if your snowboarding on ice, it has like waves on the edges of the board which grip onto ice, because say if you were snowboarding with just regular edges on ice, they could slip because there just straight, but with magnetraction the waves on the edges like puncture the ice so your more stable, and magnetraction can be good for the park and not, its really good for those icy mornings to hit jumps, but when it get kind of slushy,  I've heard that the magnetraction is a little less stable but look at Travis Rice, he rides a magnetraction and he hits huge back country jumps in powder, so, but I had the Lib Tech Travis Rice Magnetraction last year and loved it and had no prob with the kickers and boxes. so get the magnetraction, its a great board for the park. Check out this years K2 WWW, it has Rocker Technology, which is exactly the same as magnetraction but supposed to be better and yes the magnetraction will help you a lot in the park for ice and powder. Keep Riding

  3. Mtx wont HELP in the park, but it wont be detrimental. If you are using for park, it would help to file those edges so you wont catch on rails. You should be fine with it, but also remember that these things depend largely on the rider's skills.

The rocker that Skull mentioned is not the same thing as Magnetraction.

The rocker doesnt help you in that way. The rocker is made to feel like riding a skateboard because the nose and tails are flexed up, instead of a camber in the middle like normal boards.
