Rome was the longest lasting empire the world has ever seen.  I doubt it though.  There will always be a bully on the block ready to move in.  More likely the technology that makes them more advanced will have been stolen from our government (like always).

We're not the only ones with the best technology. Britain and Germany also have very good equipment.

I don't know, the Martian Wehrmacht has developed an interplanetary cosmic death ray.  Seriously, it's hard to say.  We're way ahead in terms of military research spending but other country's can steal secrets and can surprise us by coming up with new technology that would make ours obsolete.  The trend suggests we'd stay ahead for the foreseeable future.

yea...it can't always be the most anything...it's not going to last forever. Maybe 1000 years if we're lucky. Hopefully their will just be a civil war and their will be a new name, and if any structural change is made...hopefully for the better.

No - As people have said, Rome used to be the most technologically advanced country in the world and it fell and so will the USA to another country. The top contenders are China and Russia, everything falls and nothing stays at the top for long.

We are not necessarily the most technologically advanced, we just know how to put the tech into good use. We tend to have better tactics, high ability to adapt, high rate of learning on the field, etc. than other countries. In the end, it is the soldier that wins the fight, not the technology.

Actually war and conflict assist in the development of new technologies. Tech stuff that has been in the works are re-looked at and usually made better and then entered into service. The American military has always used the civilian and private sector for development of these tech-toys. In the end due to our overwhelming presence in the world and our vast array of helpful companies such as Boeing, Lockead Martin, various weapon manufacturers, and many others we will always try to be on the cutting edge of any technology.

no.  It isn't now because most weapons technology is developed privately and the private developers are the most advanced.

I know the US has th most advance aircraft technology.

We're currently the only world power with generation 5 aircraft in service, our F-22 and F-35
