  1. they will lose one

  2. Don't think it's gonna be a sweep but I wouldn't ask this question until the Cubs have won the next 2 games.  Take one game at a time & it will probably be a split

  3. I hope they do so the cardinals can gain ground on one of the teams and get into the wild card spot

  4. Dude, Its only been one game. I want the Cubs to sweep the Brewers like h**l but remember the Brewers are a stubborn team. They dont like to lose.

But what the heck, We've already taken down their "Ace" Im sure Big Z will handle business tonight!

  5. The Brewclub will win one

  6. No, they'll probably split the series.

  7. Coming into the series I thought it would be a split.  I thought the Cubs would lose the game against Sabathia and I thought they lose the last game that Harden pitched.  I figured Harden would go out and pitch 6 shutout innings striking out another 10 and the bullpen would blow it for him as they've been doing.  Since we beat Sabathia last night though, I think it's entirely possible for the Cubs to sweep them.  We have the momentum now in this series and the Brewers lost their last series only winning 1 of 3 games and now game 1 against the Cubs.  They had a chance to take the division lead, but they couldn't win when the Cubs lost.  Now it's time for the Cubs to take this division back.

trickyredcoat, don't go guaranteeing anything.  You guys were guaranteeing a Sabathia win and we know how that turned out, so it's probably not the smartest thing to do.  It only makes you look more foolish when your guarantee doesn't come true.

I don't really consider Milwaukee to be a "road" game.  The players are able to actually drive back to their house for a good nights rest.  They don't have to stay in a hotel.  These road games are different then any other road series the Cubs play.

  8. I'm a die-hard Cubs fan, but I think the game tonight (vs. Sheets) is going to be a tough one for the cubbies, judging by the team batting average against him.  The Dempster/Parra game is a toss-up, that will all depend how hot the bats are.  I seriously doubt the Cubs sweep the series.  Maybe a 2-2 split, if they're lucky a 3-1.  It would be nice to send them 5 games out, but I don't see it happening.

If you are a Cardinal fan, you should be rooting for the Cubs right now, to get your birds back in the Wild Card...that's a tall order.

Smart money is on a Cubs loss tonight, 50/50 tomorrow, and a win thursday

And as far as being a road game...Miller has always been a "Wrigley North" except for maybe this year because the brews are doing so well.  Milwaukee isn't too far from Wrigley, but it's still not Wrigley...

  9. No.  The Brewers are a good team and it will probably be a series split.

  10. They Might.

  11. no they'll win three of four. a sweep would be nice.

  12. h**l no, they will split

  13. no, they will lose to sheets

  14. They will take 3 out of four. Game one was great it was like a playoff game in a playoff atmosphere. We might be witnessing a new rivalry in baseball.

  15. Doubt it.  It is really difficult to sweep any team in a 4 game series especially a really good team like the Brewers.

  16. That's a tall order. The Brewers are a good team AND the Cubs aren't too good on the road. They may take three of them, but I'm thinking a split.
