  1. If he wants that much money, they better not re-sign him.

Vlad don't even make that much. They were better off with Kotchman. A 3rd baseman with power, and middle relief is what they needed, not another 1st baseman.

  2. If they do, it'll be after the season. The Boras Factor always comes into play in the final year of ANY of his player's contracts. They WILL see what's out there first before signing with anybody.

  3. i dont think so

  4. No trade him now for a good pitcher

  5. I tihnk they will. I heard a rumor this morning that they had already worked out a long term deal.

  6. that is a lot of money.. i dunno if angels have that kind of money!

hopefully tex will be sort of independent with his decision and push boras down the stairs or something.. ;)

i'm thinkin that tex would like to stay with the angels.. if they do well postseason this year. siigh i'm sort of bittersweet with the whole thing.. i guess i'm not over the fact that kotch is gone. hehe anyways.. i don't know for sure,

just one day at a time :)

    go angels!

  7. I think it depends on how well they do.

If they get the pennant or the ring, then I think he's a lock to resign. If they don't though, I could see him being a FA because the Angels did have the best record so far in MLB without him. Plus they know that division will be theirs for the taking again.

I think the Angels win the World Series so yes I think they'll sign him to a blockbuster deal.

  8. well kendry morales is a very good player, his debut was 3-5 with a hr, angels really dint lose anything in the trade. So even if tex leaves angels have a very good 1B who can bat better then kotchman. So no lose situation. I dont think the Angels will pay the guy, but remember, if he wants to go to another contender, he cant cuz all of em have first baseman.

  9. I know that the Angels made the trade for the post-season, but I don't think the Angels would have traded for Teixiera if they didn't think they had a serious shot at signing him as a free agent in the off season. Too bad his agent is Scott Boras, that always makes things harder. (look at how Boras screwed over A-Rod last October)

  10. i do believe the Angels will pay him.

  11. He made a comment last year that he wanted to end his career with Atlanta. I think they should have sat him down and said look, if you wanna stay here then were gonna have to ask you to take a pay cut or your out of here.

  12. i think the angels have the money to spend, but the question is, will they spend it? they are notoriously cheap, but it has worked for them because they have developed some very good young talent

in the end, i think the yankees will make the biggest push...giambi is a free agent and is probably done with the team after the season because of his age, and everyone knows the yankees have more money than anyone
