  3. he is one of the best hitters in baseball, but by no means at all the best defensive 1st baseman, best defensively is Kotchman and he gets no credit whatsoever

  4. Has any team ever released a player with Pujols' talent level at a similar stage of his career? The answer is no. There is no reason to even ask this question, frankly. There would be no way for the Cardinals to come close to replacing him, so what reason would they have to do this?
