Will the rivalry be felt?

In the olympics between USA and Mexico in every sport they compete in.

That would be cool to see because it would bring out the best of both of them.

Also what sport are you looking forward most in the olympics?

the only reason us mexicans really watch the olympics is because of Futbol, since we didnt qualify, we dont care much about it....

as for me the only thing that i want to really watch is basketball, KOBE!!

Well they wont be facing each other on many events, as we all know the US has one of the strongest all around Olympic teams, dont get me wrong or anything I'm not hating on Mexico and i really wish them luck but I'm just being realistic. Oh and I'm really looking forward for all the track and field events and also gymnastics.

i have to agree with the Superman guy.

since mexico's olympic talent pool is lacking, there won't be much of a rivalry between them and the USA, who is a well-known olympic powerhouse. mexico will of course have their stars shining next to the USA stars, but they will be more focused on the gold than rather each other.

mexico's only real shot at a medal was with soccer, but dumb Hugo Sanchez had to s***w us over.

No, I don't think so based on the fact Mexico couldn't qualify for soccer and that is their main rivalry. I think with the Olympics he U.S. & Mexico lack a true rivalry because the US is too dominant across almost all of the sports. How many Mexican track & field athletes or wrestlers or even gymnasts do you see competing? The US is too dominant to have a rivalry with Mexico.

As far as what I'm most excited about, soccer because I believe the U.S> has a legitimate shot this year, basketball because it's revenge time for the U.S., and synchronized swimming. just kidding on that last on. Why is that even a sport?

No, the only sport Mexico had a chance in was soccer and the USA beat them out, USA dominates them in everything else, I feel sorry for Mexico but that is how it is.
