Will this save global warming?

Question

well you know on rockets the combind hydron (fuel) and oxygen (thing to burn fuel in higher alt) but on the way to the moon in 1969, they combinded the two to make water for the piolts. well couldnt they just reverse that with carbon and o2 (oxgyen) and breath the oxygen. but i ant i rocket scientist so some1 will have to help me out. but if these was to work, they could put them in LEC (less ecovelped contrys) where they have a problem with smog and citys like newyork and london to reduce the emmition?

They do something like that now for polluting industries.  But it's not quite the same thing. Huge scrubbers in the stacks of  coal burning plants effectively reduce output of carbon and other gases.  Things like coal-fed electric power plants make use of this remarkable technology already in many parts of the world.
