Windows Movie Maker - Shutting Down?

Question

Every time i open windows movie maker it works fine but as soon as i add video it automatically shuts down. I have the latest version but it keeps happening. Is there another program i can use to make movies or is there a way i can fix this one?

It must be said, though, that WMM is not the best tool out there. Apparently CNET rated it 1 star out of 5 due to stability and response issues.
