I have a built in NIC (realtek rtl8169 gigabit ethernet adapter) on a custom build PC that I just installed Windows Server 2003 Evaluation on. It does not recognize the NIC. Realtek does not have a driver for server 2003 for that NIC. What should I do to enable the internet?

  1. They have un aplication that came with all windows, that are in Start,Accesories,File compatiblity Wizard that help you to install programs or hardware that was created for previous Oses, but the best thing is to get a PCI ethernet card, if you have the room in you mob or get a USB wireless network and either dont cost more than $30.00.

  2. Did you try the XP driver?  It should work.
