Windows task manager acts retarded sometimes?

Like, let's say IE7 freezes up as usual, then I open task manager to force it to close. Then after that, I close task manager, but it keeps popping back up even after I closed task manager, and sometimes even task manager freezes, which won't allow me to get on the Internet.

Any patches or fixes for this?

Try checking for Viruses or spyware, and also do a defrag. It sometimes helps with slowdowns. If all else fails, you may need to upgrade your RAM or have your CPU replaced,

Use Kaspersky Antivirus, Malwarebytes Antimalware, Spyware Doctor and Tuneup Utilities. Update all and do full scans.
