Wipeout hardrive through command prompt ?

wipeout hardrive through command prompt the operating system will be cleared off,(well obviously), and on the back of my laptop is a key for my operating system and i have an operating system disk could i use that same key i used on my laptop(the key that was on the laptop that i weped off can i put back on the same laptop after insttalling he operating system cd)?

Yes, but make sure that the key behind your laptop is the key for your operating system. If you are sure, then I guess you can re-format your hard drive with the operating system cd. The reason why you should make sure that the key is right it because if its not the key, then your stuck with a laptop that is, pretty much worthless without a proper operating system.
